面对的问题

An organisation asking strangers for money has one job before any other: look like it can be trusted with it. Twenty years of clinics, water systems and disaster relief were sitting in folders rather than on the website, and an off-the-shelf charity template would have made that work look like everyone else’s stock photography.

The staff also publish weekly and were never going to learn a bespoke admin, which ruled out hand-coding the whole site.

我们做了什么

A WordPress theme written for this organisation alone — its own templates, its own styles, and a custom photo-gallery content type so field photographs are first-class content rather than blog attachments.

The team kept the WordPress editor they already knew. Visitors get a site that looks like nobody else’s, leads with the twenty-year record, and puts giving one tap away.

结果

The site is live and the staff publish to it themselves. Choosing WordPress here was the point rather than a compromise: writing the theme instead of buying one keeps the familiarity and still leaves nothing on the page that says "template".

Burmese and Thai editions are planned next.
