Terms of service

These terms describe how website design and technical integration work is carried out by Rayspring Ministry Digital. A specific project may have its own written quotation, which takes precedence over anything here.

There is no company behind this. Your agreement is with Ray personally, who provides the service as an individual; registration under a Christian ministry in the Philippines is intended but has not happened yet. If something goes wrong, the first step is to write to him directly — for a service this size that is not a formality, it is how it actually gets resolved. These terms will be re-issued once there is a registered entity, and the version that applies to your project is the one in force when you accepted your quotation.

1. What is provided

Website design, build, and technical integration — connecting your site to services you already have, such as a payment provider, a video platform, or a mailing tool. The specific pages, features and revision rounds included are whatever your chosen plan lists on the pricing page, or whatever your written quotation says.

2. What is not provided

Unless your quotation says otherwise, the following are not included: unlimited revisions, unlimited ongoing maintenance, professional human translation, content writing, photography, stock image licences, legal or tax advice, and complex custom software. Any of these can be quoted separately.

3. Your responsibilities

• Provide the text, images, logos and account details the project needs.
• Make sure you have the right to use everything you supply. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your own content, and for any copyright in the images you send.
• Reply within a reasonable time when a decision or approval is needed.

4. Payment

Projects are quoted in US dollars. Unless agreed otherwise, a deposit is payable before work starts and the balance before the site goes live. Annual hosting and care fees, where they apply, are billed yearly in advance.

5. Revisions and extra work

Each plan includes a stated number of revision rounds. A round means one consolidated set of changes, not an open-ended stream of individual requests. Work beyond the agreed scope — extra pages, new features, additional languages, further revision rounds — is quoted before it starts. Nothing is added to an invoice that was not agreed first.

6. Delays and paused projects

Timelines assume content and feedback arrive when they are needed. A project with no client response for 30 days may be paused; restarting it later may require rescheduling. Work already completed remains payable.

7. Domains, hosting and third-party services

Your domain is registered in your name and your hosting account belongs to you. Domain fees, hosting fees, premium plugins and third-party service charges are billed at actual cost, or paid directly by you. Those providers set their own terms, prices and uptime, and none of them are under our control.

8. Donations and payment integration

This is the important one, so it is stated plainly:

Rayspring Ministry Digital provides website design and technical integration services. Donations made through a client website are processed directly by the client’s selected payment provider or financial account. Rayspring Ministry Digital does not hold, manage or distribute client donations.

It follows that we are not responsible for your tax position, your charitable registration status, the legality of the receipts you issue, the fees your payment provider charges, or any dispute between you and a donor. Those are yours, and you should take proper advice on them.

9. Ownership of your website

When the project is paid for in full, the content, images and text of your site are yours, and the site is yours to move elsewhere if you ever want to.

The underlying templates, components and code libraries used to build it remain ours and are reused across other projects — that reuse is exactly why ministry pricing can be what it is. You receive a perpetual right to use them as part of your website; you do not receive the right to resell them as a template.

Open-source components stay under their own licences.

10. Showing your project publicly

A finished site is only shown as an example with your agreement. If you would rather it was not, say so and it will not appear.

11. Fixing problems

If something we built does not work as agreed, it is fixed at no charge for 30 days after launch. That covers our own faults. It does not cover changes you make yourself, changes of mind about the design, or breakage caused by a third-party service, a plugin update or a hosting change.

12. Maintenance

Where an annual care fee applies, it covers hosting, the SSL certificate, software updates, backups and a small allowance of minor text changes. It does not cover redesigns, new pages or new features.

13. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time. Work already completed is payable, and a deposit covering work already done is not refundable. If a project is cancelled before any work has started, the deposit is returned in full.

14. The Supported Ministry Program

Supported places are limited and discretionary. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. A supported website is provided on the terms described on that page, and comes with the scope stated there rather than an open-ended commitment.

15. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, liability for any claim connected with a project is limited to the amount you paid for that project. We are not liable for lost income, lost donations, lost data, or other indirect losses.

Some countries do not allow a limit like this, and where that is the case the local law wins over this paragraph. Nothing here removes a right you have that cannot be signed away.

16. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The version that applies to your project is the one in force when your quotation was accepted.
