The Lord's Day
“One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life.” Psalm 27:4
Saint Alban has been two things for a century and a half: a parish that gathers twice each Lord's Day, and a small college that trains men and women for the ministry of the word.
The two are not separate enterprises. Students worship in the congregation they are being trained to serve, and the congregation hears the lectures its own ministers are formed by. Visitors are welcome at both, and no one is asked to register.
We are unfashionably plain about what we hold. Our confession of faith is published in full, our order of service is the same one printed in 1957, and the accounts are laid before the congregation each spring.

The building is on the corner of College Street. Step-free entry is by the side door; the hearing loop covers the whole nave.
Public and free. Recordings are published the following week, and the full archive goes back to 2006.
What we believe
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the word of God, the only rule of faith and obedience; and we hold the historic creeds of the church as faithful summaries of what those Scriptures teach.
Twenty-two students in residence, taught by five members of faculty. The course runs three years full time or five part time, and every student is attached to a congregation throughout.
Applications open twice a year. There are no fees for candidates supported by a member congregation, and a bursary fund exists for those who are not.
